- Summary: Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify vendors that are interested in and capable of providing DC VAMC Electric Signs Repair, Replacement, and Disposal at the Washington D.C. VA Medical Center (DC VAMC) located at 50 Irving St NW, Washington, DC 20422. Description of Work: The Contractor shall provide all labor and parts necessary to complete services defined in the Statement of Work for the Washington DC VA Medical Center VISN 05 located at 50 Irving Street NW, Washington DC 20422. The services shall encompass needed repairs to: The Building Sign (LOGO) located on the front façade of building 1 (Main Hospital), Informational Electronic Message Board (IEM) Sign located at the corner of Irving St. NW and 1st street NW The Monument directional/informational Sign (11 ft. x 5 ft.) located at the corner of 1st NW. and Hospital Center Drive. The signs shall be fitted with LED Mods replacing the currently failed illumination sources within each of the signs. The illumination shall be dispersed evenly throughout each sign to enable clarity and readability to each sign. The IEM shall be assessed and repaired as necessary repairing the inoperable electronic digital LED component boards within the sign configuration. Due to the nature and location of the sign, the Building Sign (LOGO) will require to be complete after operational hours while the entrance into the facility is closed. This will be necessary to avoid endangerment of pedestrians i.e., patients or visitors and staff entering and exiting the facility. The repairs shall meet the requirement of the National Electrical Code articles 600 for signs and 726 as applicable. The Contractor shall adhere to all applicable UL standards for signs. Interested & Capable Responses: NCO 5 is seeking responses from entities that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources, capabilities, and qualifications necessary to provide the services required for Electronic Signs Repair, Replacement, and Disposal at the DC VAMC. Please respond to this RFI/Sources Sought 36C24523Q0445 with your: Business name (including Unique Entity ID (SAM.gov) Business type, socio-economic status (e.g., Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Small Business, 8(a), etc.), and Person of contact (including telephone number & email address). Capability statement and summary of previous experience providing these types of services for the Veterans Health Administration or other similar facilities. Available contract vehicles for use by Department of VA ( include applicable NAICS ) Brief Summary of categories of services that your company can/cannot provide. Certification(s) / Licenses for meeting the local requirements to provide these services at the DC VAMC (if applicable) Responses must be submitted by 4:00 PM (ET) March 27th, 2023.
