- Description
- The U. S. Government requires twenty-five (25) (each) sedan or compact cars that can at least support four (4) personnel in each vehicle. The vehicles require unlimited mileage for the duration rented. All vehicles must be in good, safe operating conditions. All vehicles shall meet national and state safety requirements and have at a minimum the following safety features: seatbelts, rear view mirrors, windshield wipers, parking brake, horn, and factory standard emergency repair kit. Vehicles shall be free of excessive soil, rust, and damage. Delivery: Delivery is to be made at (address to be determined). The vehicles shall be returned to the same location unless otherwise agreed upon by the parties. Period of Performance: 13 Apr 2023 � 21 Apr 2023 Additional Periods of Performance will be evaluated in order to meet U.S. Government needs to the maximum extent practicable. All taxes, insurance, and fees must be included in the pricing. This will be awarded as a firm fixed price contract. Insurance: The contractor shall include full coverage insurance and roadside assistance at no additional cost. Multiple drivers will be required to drive the vehicles and the government shall ensure all drivers have valid Driver�s License.� Recovery: Upon proper notification, the contractor will recover disabled vehicles. This service shall be available 24 hours a day. The government will not be liable for the cost of renting a disabled vehicle that is not replaced within 48 hours of notification of the disabled vehicle. Damages: Any new damages to vehicles at time of vehicle return will be evaluated by the Contracting Officer to determine fault. For any damages determined to be due to U.S. Government negligence, the vendor shall provide a detailed cost breakout to repair the vehicle. Inspection: All vehicles will be inspected upon vehicle acceptance and return by a contractor and government official. Any damages will be annotated, and copies of the inspection will be provided to the government official. Payment: Payment will be made upon vehicle return. Payments will be made by Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) utilizing the instructions in DFARS 252.232?7006 or via�52.232-36�Payment by Third Party (Government Purchase Card).� Fuel: The government will bring the vehicles back with the same amount of fuel that they were received with.
