Description
The Vertical Take Off and Landing Family of Systems (VTOL FoS) program is releasing a Request for Information (RFI), issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e), for the preliminary planning for a potential acquisition. This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). A response to this notice is not an offer, and no offer can or will be accepted by the US Government to form a binding contract. Should a formal RFP be issued in the future, any and all respondents and non-respondents will be eligible to compete for the acquisition. Submission of a response to this RFI is not required to submit a proposal in response to any RFP which may be released in the future or to be awarded any contract pursuant to the same. The purpose of this RFI is to facilitate market research on the state of technology (e.g, technology maturity levels and availability) and related costs which could be incorporated into a potential VTOL FoS materiel solution(s). The market research will support future trade studies, future Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), and future procurement efforts. It is wholly acceptable for respondents to submit partial responses and potential materiel solutions that partially satisfy the notional requirements laid out in the concept of operations (CONOPS) graphic depicted within the RFI document. Partial responses should explain why a partial response is being submitted and identify which requirements are not satisfied. Industry partners wishing to receive the RFI document in order to respond shall request the RFI document by providing their entity/company name, Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code and/or Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number, security and contracting representative(s) names, titles and contact information (e-mail and telephone number) via email to Karen Hatch (karen.l.hatch2.ctr@us.navy.mil) and Taylor Jarboe (taylor.b.jarboe.ctr@us.navy.mil).
