- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSE ONLY This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No quotes are being requested or accepted at this time with this notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a request for information for Microbiology media and supplies for the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center Responses to this sources sought shall be submitted via email to yazmin.alvarez@va.gov by 12:00 EST. on April 13th, 2023. Suggested NAICS: 325413 In-Vitro Diagnostic Substances Manufacturing Suggested Product Service Code (PSC): 6550 In Vitro Diagnostic Substances, Reagents, Test Kits and Sets Open to suggestions from the market as to a more proper NAICS and or PSC. Below is a draft copy of the Statement of Work (SOW). Identify any other companies owned (wholly or in-part) by the owners of this business who provide goods or services under the same or a related NAICS codes. Identify any other companies owned (wholly or in-part) by the owners of this business who provide goods or services that are registered under the same or a related NAICS code with the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE); Provide the certification type (SDVOSB/VOSB), Federal Identification Number, and state of incorporation for each. Do you plan on responding to a solicitation for this requirement with a Joint Venture utilizing multiple owned companies as majority or non-majority owner? The results of this market research will assist in the development of (1) the requirement, and (2) the acquisition strategy (e.g., socioeconomic set-aside, full and open competition, etc.). Tentative Statement of Work - Microbiology media and supplies Scope: The Microbiology Department of the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) is requesting the establishment of a five year (base plus four option years) contract for Microbiology media and supplies. This agreement will be a firm fixed monthly price based on historical ordering practices. This supply acquisition does not involve the connection of contractor-owned IT devices to the VA internal network, therefore the C&A requirements do not apply and a security accreditation package is not required. General Requirements: The vendor must be able to supply all media and supplies listed on Attachment A. The vendor must agree on one monthly fee regardless of the quantities ordered. All supplies must have reasonable expiration dates as short dated supplies are unacceptable. All supplies must meet universally established quality standards. The vendor must be able to supply all of the supplies or equal to, listed in the table below . The vendor must be able to supply all safety data sheets (SDS) for the supplies that are ordered.
