- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC- APG), MD 21005 intends to issue a solicitation for Expeditionary Energy and Sustainment Systems (E2S2). The solicitation will be a small business set-aside under NAICS code 335312 - Motor and Generator Manufacturing with a size standard of $13 Million. The resulting contract is expected to be a (Firm-Fixed Price) seven year ordering period, Single-Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task order contract. E2S2, as a component of the Program Executive Office Combat Support and Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS) exists to provide integrated materiel solutions, force sustainment support, and contingency basing designs to Joint Warfighters across the full range of military operations.E2S2 is the lifecycle manager for multiple combat support and combat service support capabilities which include: power generation and power distribution; field feeding and field services; shelters and environmental controls; aerial delivery systems; and contingency base engineering design support. E2S2 helps the Army to develop and procure operational energy solutions that saves lives, avoids costs, and returns combat capability to the Warfighting Commanders. The Army Operating Concept calls for �Advanced and efficient power saving and generation technologies will reduce sustainment and lift requirements�. For the past 50 years, E2S2 has worked to field materiel solutions that help minimize the logistical footprint on the battlefield, which results in less fuel convoys in harm�s way; freeing Soldiers up for higher priority combat missions. This notice meets the synopsis posting requirements. The official release of the solicitation will be posted to the System for Award Management website located at https://www.sam.gov/. The on-line version of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will include all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of the solicitation will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments, should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response.
