Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Navajo Area Indian Health Services (NAIHS) Kayenta Health Center intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, firm fixed price contract with Nihon Kohden, 15353 Barranca Parkway, Irvine, CA 92618 to provide extended warranty services on patient bedside monitors. Sole Source authority cited FAR 6.302-1(b)(1); �Only one source is capable of providing the supplies and services required at the level or quality required because the supplies and services are unique or highly specialized.� Due to the particular requirements of this solicitation, no other vendor meets the needs of the requestor. Therefore, Nihon Kohden is the only vendor capable of fulfilling the requirements of Kayenta Health Center. The proposed contractor shall provide extended warranty support services for the patient bedside monitors located at Kayenta Health Center, Highway 160, Mile Post 394.3, Kayenta, Arizona 86033. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of: Janice Martinez.� Email: Janice.Martinez@ihs.gov.� Only emailed responses will be considered.� Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence, that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.� Last day to provide affirmative written response is April 11, 2023 5:00PM EST. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement base upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
