Description: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Fire Department is tasked with Fire Prevention and Emergency Response on the NIST Gaithersburg, MD facility. NIST Fire Engine 753B is a 2005 KME Class A Pumper that needs maintenance and repairs. This Fire Engine had served as the only front-line apparatus for the NIST FD and surrounding Gaithersburg community until 2017. It still serves as a reserve/base Engine when the main Fire Engine, E753, is unavailable.
