This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of all businesses relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339940 Office Supplies (except paper) Manufacturing. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking all qualified business manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers to all the following specifications: Requirement: The Hudson Valley VAMC and Castle Point VAMC are each looking to purchase a pill bottle shredder to replace their existing units which are at end of life. This is a brand name or equal purchase to the Medi-Shred Phill Bottle Shredder based on the desired characteristics and specifications below. Contractor is to provide the following: Two (2) pill bottle shredders, (one for the Hudson Valley VAMC and the other for Castle Point VAMC), that must have the following properties and functions: Paper infeed: 10 wide Bottle chamber: 5 W x 8 L x 3 D Low noise: less than 65 decibels Shred size: 1/8 x 1-1/2 Dimensions: 24 W x 51 H x 27.5 D Cross cut: 1.8 W x 1.5 L Casters: Included Disposable collection bag 3/4 HP, 120 VAC, single phase motor Plugs into a standard 110v outlet Automatic shut of Shreds between 3-5 bottles per 10 seconds THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement.
