Description

This intent to single source announcement is for the requirement of Virtual Reality Scene Generator (VRSG) software licenses to be utilized by the Aerospace Human Factors Research Division (AHFRD) simulators to perform Human Factors Research associated with aviation. The FAA intends to award on a single source basis with MVRsimulation as they are the only known source, are the OEM, and hold the proprietary rights for VRSG software. It is anticipated the resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery contract. The contract is anticipated to be a base plus four options periods, a total of five years in length. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA�s decision to contract with a selected�source via single source procedures.
