- 155MM XM1208 Projectile: The Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of the U.S. Army Office of the Project Manager (PM) Combat Ammunition Systems (CAS) is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for a 155mm, anti-personnel/anti-materiel Projectile.� The product will provide U.S. ground forces with a capability to effectively engage imprecisely located enemies within an area, emphasizing personnel and light materiel missions. This product will support the Dual-Purpose, Improved Conventional Munition (DPICM) replacement strategy. The 155 millimeter High Explosives (HE), Advanced Submunitions: XM1208 Projectile must be capable of defeating personnel and light materiel in a Global Positioning System (GPS) denied environment from US Army 155mm howitzers (M777A2 or M109A6/7).� The 155mm HE, Advanced Submunitions: XM1208 Projectile must replace 155mm DPICM stockpiles with a DoD cluster munition policy compliant capability which will broaden the target set, enhance lethality, and extend the reach of the current cannon platforms beyond the current DPICM capability.� A response to this survey should show adequate technical and manufacturing capability to meet the programmatic goals of the 155mm HE, Advanced Submunitions: XM1208 Projectile.� If a respondent does not have adequate resources (technical, manufacturing, personnel, etc.) available, the respondent must be able to demonstrate its ability to obtain those resources. Interested parties must provide the information requested below: A summary that includes a brief description of the contractor's capabilities to include description of facilities/equipment, personnel, manufacturing process, key raw material suppliers, and critical components of the 155mm HE, Advanced Submunitions: XM1208 Projectile and/or 155mm Cluster Munition Production; Provide evidence of producing a 155mm HE, Advanced Submunitions: XM1208 Cluster Munition that achieves an unexploded ordnance rate of less than 1%. Provide evidence of capabilities to produce the 155mm HE, Advanced Submunitions: XM1208 Projectile at a rate of 750 per month; The ability to achieve a successful First Article and first delivery starting eighteen (18) months after contract award; Manufacturing experience of a 155mm Cluster Munition within the last ten (10) years; Rough order of magnitude costs to achieve a First Article Test to possess a production ready capability to begin Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP); Provide evidence of In-house Quality Assurance System(s) and Inspection Capabilities in order to support this production program; Provide company name, address, telephone number, email address, technical point of contact, and company size (please specify as either a Large Business, Foreign-Owned Business, Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a) concern, Woman-Owned Small Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone concern, Veteran-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business). A Technical Data Package is not included in this market survey. The release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will contain the official TDP that will be used for proposal submission.
