You are invited to attend a HUBZone Session provided by the USAID/OSDBU in conjunction with the U.S. Small Business Administrations� Washington Metropolitan Area District Office (SBA/WMADO) Date:� April 26, 2023 � 9:00-10:30 a.m. EST?�� Location:� In-person -USAID Annex (UA), 500 D Street, SW, Washington, DC 20547�OR�Virtual via Zoom for Government -�Register Here Who should attend? Current and Future HUBZone Program Participants� HUBZone is an SBA program for small companies that operate and employ people in Historically Under-utilized Business Zones (HUBZones). The HUBZone program was created in response to the HUBZone Empowerment Act created by the US Congress in 1998.� �Overview: Steps to becoming familiar with processes and procedures associated with contracting with USAID. The goal of the program is to create incentives for the U.S. federal government to contract with businesses that operate and create jobs in communities with statistically proven economic needs. There will be presentations from: SBA HUBZone Office USAID/OSDBU Due to limited space, registration will be on a first come basis limited to firms that pre-register for this event through the attached registration link.
