- Description
- A00001 - This amendment extends the solicitation close date to 05/01/2023 at 2:00 PM EDT. Description This is a sources sought only, not a solicitation announcement. This is NOT a request for proposals or quotes and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. The USCG is conducting market research to seek sources that can provide overhaul/reconditioning abilities to our fleet of aircraft refuelers. Background The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) operates 3,000 and 5,000 gallon aircraft refuelers at our various Air Stations for refueling USCG aircraft. The USCG Air Stations have performed organic maintenance, preventive, and periodic scheduled inspections to continuously operate the refuelers. Due to our Air Station's limited repair facilities and capabilities to complete a thorough evaluation and effect major repairs to the refuelers, the USCG requires a mid-life overhaul maintenance cycle. The USCG requires the continuing qualification of the aircraft refuelers beyond the organic capability of our Air Stations maintenance and periodic inspections/testing, performed by the Air Stations, to ensure the life expectancy of the end item is achieved or surpassed. Please see Attachment 1 Statement of Work for further information.
