Description
REQUEST FOR SOURCES SOUGHT (NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION) The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Detroit District is seeking information on potential sources that is qualified to perform crane inspection and repair service. This Sources Sought Notice will be utilized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District to establish a list of sources interested in the BPA Crane Inspection and Maintenance Services. Interested vendors are encouraged to respond. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement for this requirement. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding submissions. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is for market research purposes only. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The vendor will be required to provide qualified service for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of the Government-owned cranes, as shown in table 1, located at USACE facilities in Duluth, MN; Sault Ste. Marie, MI; and Detroit, MI. In addition, services may be required at the following location Chicago, IL; Burns Harbor, IN; Kewaunee, WI; and Milwaukee, WI. Additional service may include: Annual crane inspections along with comprehensive Inspection Report Minor maintenance service and adjustments include brake/clutch adjustments, check and correction of air/hydraulic pressures, tightening of hook rollers, boom hoist adjustments, and similar annual adjustments in accordance with the crane manufactures recommendations. Minor repairs. Major repairs at an offsite location. Providing OEM or aftermarket direct fit replacement parts. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310 - Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, which has a small business size standard of $12.5 million. The Product Service Code (PSC) for this requirement is J039, MAINT/REPAIR/REBUILD OF EQUIPMENT- MATERIALS HANDLING EQUIPMENT INSTRUCTIONS: If you desire to participate in the market research, please complete the attached Contractor Capability Survey and return to the primary point of contact listed below. Failure to provide a complete response may result in the government being unable to adequately assess your capabilities. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. As stipulated in Federal Acquisition Regulation 15.201, responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary and will not be returned. The Government will not reimburse any costs incurred or associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion. Additional company capability information is welcome. Your company�s response is limited to 25 pages.� All attachments must be provided in either Microsoft Word, excel, or Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Attachments with files ending in �.zip� or �.exe� are not allowable and files will be stripped and deleted from any emails received by the Government.
