Description
This solicitation was updated on 13 April 2023 to add drawings of the building plans to show square footage and other details of the building.� The solicitation due date remains unchanged.�� The solicitation due date is being extended to 5 May 2023.� �The Govenment will update the specifications in the Performance Work Statement before the solicitation due date.�� This solicitation was updated on 10 April 2023 11:24 AM, to include pictures showing many of the rooms at the Coralville Lake Admin Building that may require mold/asbestos remediation.� Contractors are still strongly encouraged to make a site visit prior to bidding this contract.� See solicitation and below for details regarding the joint site visit schedule for Friday,�April 14, 2023 at 10:00 � 11:30 AM (Local Time, Central Daylight Time). See attached Performance Work Statement that includes the anticipated contract schedule and other important information. JOINT SITE VISIT SCHEDULED:� It is strongly encouraged for the Contractor to make a site visit prior to bidding this contract. �The site will be done at the Contractor�s expense, if they wish to view the site prior to bidding for this contract. There is a joint site visit scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00 � 11:30 AM (Local Time, Central Daylight Time).� If you plan on attending the joint site visit, please contact the Technical Point of Contact:� Dee Goldman, Operations Project Manager.� You may email Mr. Goldman at howard.d.goldman@usace.army.mil or call at 319.338.3543� x6304.� DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT The intention of this contract is for the Contractor to remediate mold and asbestos from the Administrative Building at Coralville Lake. �The Contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, supplies, and materials to remediate mold and asbestos from the Administrative Building at Coralville Lake. �Prices should include mobilization & de-mob, fuel, labor, materials, and equipment to complete the scope of work. All materials removed will be disposed of off-site by the Contractor at an approved hazardous waste dumpsite. �The Contractor's work and responsibility will include all planning, programming, administration, management, supervision, communications, and inspection necessary to assure that all services are conducted in accordance with the contract requirements and all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. �The Contractor is required to attend an on-site pre-work meeting to be scheduled after the Notice to Proceed or Award. �The areas where the work will take place is only accessible during weekday business hours. It will be the Contractor's responsibility for transporting the removed material to the proper disposal locations. �The Contractor is responsible for all clean up, debris removal, traffic and public control and the restoration of areas, facilities, or structures negatively impacted by this contract to its original condition. DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION The Coralville Lake Project is located at 2850 Prairie Du Chien Rd NE, Iowa City, IA� 52240. Coralville Lake is located between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages Coralville Lake as a multiple use project providing primary benefits in flood control and low flow augmentation, and secondary benefits in recreation, fish and wildlife management, and forest management. Coralville Lake provides many recreational opportunities. Activities include boating, swimming, picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, bird watching, Devonian Fossil Gorge and camping. Campgrounds at Coralville Lake include three campgrounds with just over 500 campsites. The campsite types range from primitive tent to full hook-ups with water, sewer and electricity at the sites. Campgrounds are located at Sandy Beach, Sugar Bottom and the Dam Complex (Cottonwood, Linder Point, Tailwater East, Tailwater West and West Overlook).
