- Pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), the Department of Commerce, Office of the Secretary intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Blue Jeans. EDA requires Video Teleconferencing and Webinar to meet EDA business requirements. Teleconferencing should be online based with minimum to no�downloads, no additional software to install, for the user to operate. Video and audio should be supported by current EDA IT hardware. All conference�will come with dial-in phone numbers. Maintenance will provide EDA with the support needed for mission critical web conferencing. The Department of Commerce (DOC), Economic Development Administration (EDA) provides the U.S. with economic programs and grants to develop economic opportunities. The Economic Development Administration was established under the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. 3121), as amended, to generate jobs, help retain existing jobs, and stimulate industrial and commercial growth in economically distressed areas of the United States. EDA assistance is available to rural and urban areas of the Nation experiencing high unemployment, low income, or other severe economic distress. EDA is guided by the basic principle that distressed communities must be empowered to develop and implement their own economic development and revitalization strategies�The intent of this notice is not to request competitive quotations and no solicitation is available or will be issued. Any information received from interested parties will only be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. Interested parties may submit a description of their firms' capabilities for satisfying the requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to successfully perform this eort.
