Description

Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Code 852 has been assigned as the lead Operational Software developer for the MK 48 APB7 software implemented on the MK48 MOD8 guidance and control sections. This requirement is for custom single board computer processing cards for the development environment that are being used in the design of the MOD 8system. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to Curtiss-Wright (CAGE Code: 1SGJ6). The relevant North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334418. The Small Business Size Standard is 750. The NUWCDIVNPT Office for Small Business Programs concurs with this sole source determination. Curtiss Wright was selected to provide a custom Single Board computer processor card to be us in their MOD8 torpedo design. It is necessary to purchase the exact same custom single board computer processing cards for our development environment that are being used in the design of the MOD 8 system in order to develop the MOD 8 operational software. This requirement is an other than full and open competition, sole source procurement as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: Defense Priorities and Allocations System(DPAS) rating is DO-C9.
