Description

The Syracuse VA Medical Center located at 800 Irving Ave Syracuse, NY 13210, intends to release an invitation for bid (IFB) numbered 36C242-23-B-0016 Project No. 528A7-18-716 Renovate Main Kitchen on or about 21 March 2023. A general contractor is required to coordinate and manage an interior kitchen renovation project. The entire area of renovation is approximately 6,600 square feet. Kitchen will remain occupied throughout the duration of the project. All work inside kitchen must be conducted between the hours of 7:30pm and 5:30am. Some areas outside of main kitchen (bathrooms, external offices, and coolers) can be worked during regular work hours if desired. Demolition and construction that is disruptive to facility operations and patient care is to be performed 2 hours on (maximum) and 2 hours off (minimum). Work is to be coordinated with the COR one week in advance to minimize impact to an active sleep lab/respiratory department. All domestic water, electrical, steam, chilled and heating hot water shutdowns, as required, shall be coordinated one week in advance with the COR and scheduled for completion after normal business hours. Period of Performance will be in 4 Phases and be completed in 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed date. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220. THIS IS 100% set aside for Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) PROCUREMENT. The offeror must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) under the applicable NAICS at time of offer and time of award. The estimated magnitude of this construction project is: Between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000 The firms are required to self-perform 25% of the work and will be required to show in detail the breakdown to be submitted with the bid. Firms will also be required to supply the EMR rating at time of bid. Payment and Performance Bonds will be required. A 20% Bid Bond will be required and must be submitted with the bid. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full IFB will be posted to the Government-wide Point of Entry (https://beta.sam.gov/) contract opportunities. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203
