This is a sources sought announcement only. All responses will be used for market analysis in determining the availability of potential qualified businesses that may be used to determine appropriate acquisition strategy. No solicitation is being issued at this time but may be issued later. The Columbia Healthcare VA System (WJB Dorn VA Medical Center) located at 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209 is seeking Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) and vendors falling into other socioeconomic Small Business (SB) categories to provide Medtronic ESOZ Manometry or its brand name equivalent. The module has not been updated since 2012. The system is at its end-of-life cycle. 1. Title of Project: Medtronic ESOZ Manometry 2. Background: The GI Department currently have a manometry system to detect different GI issues in patients during procedures. We have been having multiple issues with them that have been requiring repair on a frequent basis. 4. Period of Performance: Delivery to be made within 45 days of receipt of order. 5. Probe that can detect the pressures that accompany swallowing. Probe/Procedure that can help to diagnose achalasia and other swallowing disorders that can be used for patient who get reflux surgeries (Nissen Fundoplicaiton) System that detects narrowing of the esophagus, assesses the ability of the muscles of the esophagus to contract and pass food in the right direction (preventing aspiration of contents into the lungs) System that can determine the elasticity of the esophagus Probe used to measure the function of the lower esophageal sphincter (the valve that prevents reflux, or backward flow, of gastric acid into the esophagus) and the muscles of the esophagus. Probe/test that will assist MD with determining if your esophagus is able to move food to your stomach normally.
