- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement; for market survey information only. It is intended to be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Kansas City District is seeking information on Automated Fee Machines for Campgrounds and Day Use Areas within the Kansas City District.� Some of the requirements of the Fee Machines will be capable of accepting credit and debit cards. Capable of printing thermal receipts that will remain legible to 170 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 48 hours for patrons to display for enforcement purposes. Provide a paper audit trail, supported by an electronic record for all transactions. Be supported by software applications allowing administrative user manipulation of rate structure, system configuration and transaction recording from a local or remote site. Be configured for operation with 120 VAC power with a separate 15-20 AMP service breaker in the nearest control panel. Components shall operate in extreme temperature and humidity conditions found in Illinois. In the summertime, temperatures commonly reach 90 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit with 80 to 90% humidity. Temperatures in the immediate area of the AFM may be higher due to direct sunlight and proximity of asphalt pavement. The AFM shall be set-up for walk-up access. The Contractor shall install the AFM unit, to include mounting the pedestal, programming the machine, and conducting tests to ensure it is working properly.� Contractor shall furnish and install all required anchoring, electrical connections, and incidentals to complete install. Vendor shall provide onsite training to include how to install/remove components, operate, access programming and digital platforms, and perform maintenance and troubleshooting of the AFM and associated components. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of the Small Business Community to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price Contract.
