Description
STATEMENT OF WORK BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO: Civco Radiation Therapy SBRT System (For reference) Purpose/Scope: Treatment of Stereotactic Body Radiation (SBRT) is a precise, high dose radiation therapy that allows doctors to treat cancer in just one to five treatments, rather than the multiple doses over many weeks which is required in conventional radiation. It is for cancer patients who have small, clearly delineated tumors. The immobilization system should be designed to enable customized set-ups in SBRT for varying patient types. Key features include both tilt and lateral offset options, as well as enhanced contour for improved clearance of the framework. The SBRT Immobilization System is being requested in support of clinic functionality for the Radiation Oncology Department at the Kansas City VAMC. Specifications: Carbon fiber Baseplate Adjustable abdominal/Diaphragm bridge with a compression pad § Variable height adjustment with just one bridge (21.6 cm to 46.3 cm, 8.5"" to 18.25"") § Lateral offset ability allowing the bridge and plate to adapt to the patient's natural posture and body type § Tilting offset ability allowing optimal patient positioning for enhanced gantry clearance § Advanced latch engineered to release in less than three seconds for patient safety Three pin Lok-Bar or equivalent (x4) Standard plate & wide respiratory plate § Places pressure at the level of the diaphragm to assist in restricting respiratory movement Standard respiratory belt § Provide pneumatic compression and immobilization to the abdominal region for SBRT treatments Mechanical Respiratory Restriction Plate Secure fit for knees with cushion Full body cushion for baseplate (x2) Cushions, for comfort care (x3) * Hand pump with Gauge And a storage base/cart *Please provide the all-cushion options offered with your unit. The vendor will provide installation of equipment and oversee all training for the end user, if required. Vendor s warranty of equipment, and any options for an extended warranty, should be clearly stated. Identification: The Contractor s field service employee, if needed, shall always wear visible identification while on the premises of the VA Medical Center. Smoking is not prohibited inside the buildings. Possession of weapons is prohibited. Enclosed containers, including tool kits, shall be subject to search. Violations of the VA regulations may result in citation answerable in the United States (Federal) District Court. Vehicles: All vehicles will be locked, and keys removed while performing service on the Medical Centers Property. This is intended to protect the contractor s property and provide for the safety of the Med. Ctr. Personnel. Vehicle(s) shall be identified. Parking in the appropriate designated parking areas is expected. Information on parking is available from the VA Police. The VA Medical Center will not invalidate or make reimbursement for parking violations of contractor for any conditions. Safety Requirements: In the performance of this contract, the contractor shall take such safety precaution as the Contracting Officer or designee may determine to be reasonably necessary to protect the lives and health of the occupants of any building. The Contracting Officer or designee will notify the contractor of any noncompliance with the foregoing provisions and action to be taken.
