Description
This Request for Information is published for Market Research purposes only.� The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the capabilities and experience to meet qualification requirements to provide engineering services for the HC-130J, MC-130J, EC-130J �and AC-130J system and subsystems.� THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. �In accordance with FAR 52.215-3, this RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes- it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. �This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party�s expense. �Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP nor does it ensure participation, if any is issued. �If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (SAM.gov) website. �It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Potential Sources must possess the ability to provide a means for enhanced engineering design and analysis capability, support of aircraft modifications, address operational capability improvements, analyze/recommend aircraft availability improvements, suggest reliability and maintainability actions, perform replacement system analysis, assist with resolving deficiency reports, tear down test and evaluation, assist with aircraft troubleshooting/repair, performance of logistical studies, development of Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) and Technical Order (TO) change packages, operational supplements, identification of parts obsolescence solutions, prototyping of drawing changes, and performance of other activities associated with overall weapon system sustainment. The contractor shall also provide engineering and technical support for trial and kit proof installations and perform depot and field maintenance assists as required. Contractor shall furnish all materials and services. �The contractor is responsible for providing, utilizing, and maintaining, all equipment and software required at their facility or a subcontractor�s facility to perform these services.
