- DOMESTIC COMMODITY INVITATION � READY TO EAT CEREAL ACQUISITION DESCRIPTION � DRAFT USDA is publishing this proposed draft solicitation for review and public comment. Comments can be sent to Jenny Babiuch. jenny.babiuch@usda.gov. This is not an official solicitation by USDA. Please see the attachments for more information.� ACQUISITION PROCESS The government will conduct this acquisition using a process that results in a 1) a multiple award contract (IDIQ) and 2) subsequent monthly allocation/orders.� The Government will not award any material or combination of materials more than the stated overall maximum. Step One A separate WBSCM RFx response (plant offer) will need to be entered for each commercial specific material.� These materials are an offerors commercial items that satisfy the standard set forth in this solicitation.� The offer label, in WBSCM, should clearly identify the name of the SPECIFIC material being offered. �Offerors will use an attachment to the solicitation to identify monthly capacities (number of truckloads) being offered, product commercial name, case and truckload weights, truckload gross weight, case count, case dimensions, and number of cases on a pallet and pallet counts per truck of the offered material. Successful offerors will not be required to ship to offshore U.S. Territories.� Offerors may be required to ship to anywhere in the contiguous U.S.� The Government may take all or part of the capacity offered by a supplier.� The government reserves the right to select materials in any combination from the categories above and shall make award to multiple offerors.� No deviations in the awarded capacity above the maximum or below the minimum per will be granted. Step Two � Successful Step One Awardees Only Specific orders that identify delivery locations within the state and delivery periods will be issued Not Later Than 30 days to start of the delivery period.� If less than 30 days is provided, the contractor will be entitled to a delivery period extension.
