Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for SODIUM HYDROXIDE (CAUSTIC SODA) � 25% for the�Washington Aqueduct, Washington, DC. This pre-solicitation is not a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote, or Invitation for Bid. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make awards, or pay for respondent's expenditures made in response to this notice. Unsolicited proposals will not be accepted. Interested vendors are responsible for monitoring this notice for any subsequent amendments. All submissions become government property and will not be returned. Any solicitation issued resulting from this notice will be in a separate announcement.� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District is looking to issue an indefinite�delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) single-award delivery-order contract for caustic soda for the Washington Aqueduct Division (WAD) in Washington, D.C. Attached is a draft statement of work (SOW). WAD provides potable water to approximately one million people in the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. As part of the water treatment and supply system, WAD maintains and operates the Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and McMillan WTP.�
