Description

GSA is issuing a sources sought for the following security upgrades project for the US Customs and Border Protection Land Port of Entry at the Detroit Ambassador Bridge, 3033 Porter Street, Detroit, MI 48216, to determine the interest, availability, and capability of Small, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, and Woman Owned Small Business concerns found as a result of a Dynamic Small Business Search. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.� The scope includes but is not limited to the following work: Install security upgrades at passenger building, exterior pavilion, and two trailers and turnstiles. Upgrades include CCTV cameras, network video recorders, microphones, access control systems, instruction detection systems, door and hardware changes, and security fencing. It is anticipated the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted to Contract Opportunities on SAM.gov (formerly fbo.gov) in June 2023. The awardee will be required to undergo the security clearance process. The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, or Woman Owned Small Businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include business classification (i.e. SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc.) as well as examples of 1-2 projects completed within the last five (5) years that included a scope of work such as the one specified above that will be required under this project and that had a total project cost in the same range estimated for this project. Please provide a customer point of contact for each project listed. Responses must be received by 4:00 PM Central Time on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
