This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Proposals (RFP), or Request for Quotes (RFQ). This notice should not be intended as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. This announcement does not commit the Government to any contractual agreement. The Government is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the purpose of: Conducting market research to determine common and customary industry practices. Assisting the Department of Treasury to determine the number of potential respondents capable and interested in providing a solution. Determining industry capabilities and best practices to meet the Treasury�s functional requirements. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the analysis. All data received in response to this RFI is marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with all applicable Government regulations. All documentation shall become the property of the Government and will not be returned. Please Note: No solicitation is being issued at this time, and the Government makes no assertion that a solicitation will be issued. The Government is not obligated to and will not�pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. SCOPE: The Treasury Department is seeking information on companies capable of providing an Enterprise Data Catalog tool that can be efficiently and cost effectively implemented to meet the Treasury�s metadata management requirements. The Treasury Enterprise Data Catalog Tool must be capable of serving two high-level business needs.� First, it must be able to serve as a catalog of catalogs.� The solution must be able to interface with, extract, and store metadata from data catalog tools deployed at individual bureaus.� Second, for Departmental Offices and bureaus without existing data catalog tools, the solution must be able to connect to each organization�s metadata environment and retrieve metadata from applications and data stored in a variety of platforms including, but not limited to SharePoint, SQL Server, Excel Spreadsheets, internal websites, CSV, and other formats. The metadata used to describe Treasury data assets needs to appear in a clear, consistent, standard manner with controlled language.� It should be searchable and include business context, tagging, relationships, data quality, and usage.� The platform should be easily accessible to all possible users including data stewards, IT professionals, and analysts within and across Treasury Departmental Offices and bureaus.� NOTICE CORRESPONDENCE: The IRS is requesting submission of Corporate Information and Technical Capabilities. (Please see attached RFI for more submission information details.)� Interested companies are requested to provide the following: Name, mailing address, phone number, fax number, and email address of �designated point of contact Corporate web site address Size of Business and socioeconomic status DUNS number and CAGE Code North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code classifications ��applicable to the subject matter. Information Regarding Existing Government Purchasing Vehicles - Vendors should list any existing Government purchasing vehicles they hold that could be applicable to this requirement (e.g. GSA Schedule Contracts, Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs), Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), etc.). Vendors should provide the name of the vehicle (NASA SEWP, NITAAC CIO, VETS 2, Alliant/Alliant SB, GSA Schedule 70, etc.), a brief overview of the scope and their contract number. Responses may not exceed 10 pages, excluding the cover page. RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS AND DUE DATE: QUESTIONS: Questions in response to this RFI may be submitted electronically to Sandra R. Anderson @ Sandra.R.Anderson@irs.gov and Tracey Lee II @ Tracey.Lee@irs.gov on or before Monday, March 28, 2022 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The Government reserves the right to respond to some, all or none of the questions submitted. RESPONSES: Vendors that meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit their capability statements/RFI responses.� The deadline for responses to this RFI is 5:00PM EDT, Monday, April 19, 2022.� Responses should be forwarded via email to both the primary and secondary points of contacts listed below and �cc� to sandra.r.anderson@irs.gov and Tracey.Lee@irs.gov. Responses shall not exceed 10 pages and shall not contain any brochures, advertising or any other type of extraneous, graphic literature or documents that have not been requested and are not relevant or essential in demonstrating the company�s ability to provide the required services.� Vendors may provide links to relevant websites, as appropriate. Vendors shall reference �RFI_ Treasury Enterprise Data Catalog Tool� in the subject line of their response as well as in the subject line of any other e-mail correspondence referencing this notice.
