Description
The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center has an� requirement and requesting quotations for the following part: Item 1) NSN: 4030-01-467-0978 HOOK RELEASE MARINE SAFETY SOLAS APPROVED, OFF LOAD TYPE WITH PULL CABLE SWL/WLL:2000 KG. US COAST GUARD APPROVAL # 160.133/35/0 SOLAS APPROVED OFF-LOAD TYPE RELEASE HOOK W/HANDLES FOR BOAT DAVIT INSTALLATIONS. RELEASE WIRE ROPE TERMINATION SHALL BE SUITABLE FOR OPERATION BY OPEN HAND OR W/HEAVY WEATHER MITTEN. POTENTIAL SHARP POINTS SHALL BE AVOIDED. RELEASE WIRE SHALL NOT INTERFERE W/SLING BAIL OR OTHER DEVICE IN HOOK. WIRE ROPE TERMINATION SHALL BE A BALL OR HANDLE TYPE TERMINATION WITH A CROSSSECTION OF 50MM TO 75MM. THE BALL OR HANDLE SHALL FIT OVER THE TOP OF A STANDARD WIRE ROPE THIMBLE AND SWAGED WIRE CLIP TO PREVENT OPERATOR CONTACT W/WIRE ENDS. WIRE ROPE TERMINATION DEVICES SHALL HANG APPROXIMATELY 100MM BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE BOTTOM OF THE HOOK. INDIVIDUALLY PACKAGED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-2073-1E METHOD 10, CUSHIONED AND PACKED IN AN APPROPRIATELY SIZED ASTM-D5118 DOUBLE-WALL FIBERBOARD BOX. FAILURE TO MEET THE PACKING, PACKAGING, MARKING AND BAR CODING REQUIREMENTS WILL RESULT IN WAREHOUSE REJECTION AND ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED BACK TO VENDOR. Destination to USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore MD 21126, Mark for: Receiving Room bldg 88A This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, FAC 2023-02 (MARCH 2023) and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 333998 and the business size standard is 500.
