Description

In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Medical Readiness Contracting Activity West (MRCO-W) intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract on a sole source basis to Covidien Sales, LLC. for the procurement of three (3) Manoscan anorectal (AR) catheters. Manoscan AR catheters are exclusively compatible with the Manoscan manometry system currently owned by Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), JBSA - Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Covidien Sales, LLC is the sole source provider for Manoscan AR catheters, with no authorized distributors. The Manoscan AR catheters will be used to provide data on anorectal motility and internal/external anal sphincter function used to diagnose pathologies in patients with evacuation disorders or fecal incontinence in the Gastroenterology department at BAMC. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 339112, and the size standard is 1,000 employees. Salient Characteristics: Must be compatible with Manoscan manometry system currently in place at BAMC Device must meet the portability and stack ability of 12x12x1 inch per case Must include operator�s manual with cleaning instructions Catheters must be able to be cleaned and re-used Must be able to perform comprehensive assessments of anorectal functions such as anal sphincter function, rectoanal reflex activity, rectal sensation Must be able to detect anal muscle strength and weakness Must be able to detect sphincter muscle synchronization The proposed contract action for which the Government intends to solicit from and award to one source is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The Government intends to execute this award on or around 19 May 2023.� This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested vendors shall respond to this notice NLT 15 May 2023, 11:00AM, CST. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
