Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Research Unit located at Stoneville, Mississippi, has a requirement to Furnish and Install Pre-Engineered Steel Canopy, pour concrete column pad footings, relocate existing exterior light, relocate existing lightening protection cable, relocate existing gutters and downspouts.� This project is on the East Side of Bldg. #21 at USDA Cotton Ginning Laboratory, located at 111 Experiment Station Road in Stoneville, MS. The work includes but is not limited to:� The contractor shall provide all designs, materials, labor, and equipment to: Install new free-standing steel shed extension on existing cotton gin.� Contractor shall provide a MS stamped and sealed design, install footings, structural steel, sway bracing, roofing, and skirt walls per approved design. Contractor will re-locate �� diameter existing lightening protection ground cable (Cad weld), relocate existing gutter and to include (3) existing downspouts and splash pads, and re-locate (1) security light. Conceptual Drawing shown below. �Contractor is responsible for submitting Detailed Engineering Stamped Shop Drawings for the Canopy for approval by USDA EPM. �This project is on the East Side of Bldg. #21 at USDA Cotton Ginning Laboratory, located at 111 Experiment Station Road in Stoneville, MS. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed priced contract.� The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside.� The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 with a size standard of $45.0 M.� Contractors shall not directly contact the�facility to discuss this requirement.� During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about May 25, 2023.� This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
