Description

PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT: This announcement constitutes a pre-solicitation announcement of a proposed contract action pursuant to FAR 5.204. This is not a solicitation. No response is requested at this time. A formal solicitation will follow this announcement with full details, including a response deadline, the complete price proposal schedule, the construction plans & specifications, instructions to offerors, and the evaluation factors/basis for award. OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THIS WEBSITE FOR CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE AND THE FORMAL SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. PLANNED SOLICITATION: The final Solicitation for this project will be announced anytime between 15 and 30 days after the posting of this pre-solicitation. The contract type will be firm-fixed-price. SCOPE OF WORK:� The work consists of maintenance dredging approximately 514,000 cubic yards of unclassified material from Murrells Inlet, Georgetown County, South Carolina which shall be deposited at nearby Garden City Beach and at the west end of the south jetty on Huntington Beach State Park. The work includes before and after surveys of the beach areas and monitoring structures adjacent to Garden City Beach during construction. The work includes complying with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammals Protection Act. MAGNITUDE OF WORK: $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE: 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction,Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities with a SBA Small Business Size of $37,000,000. The contractor must be registered in WWW.SAM.GOV prior to award of the solicitation.
