- Description
- The anticipated work will generally occur within Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) Yakima Training Center (YTC) of Washington State; however, it also assumed some work may occur off-site in the surrounding areas of the installation such as Kittitas, Grant, and Yakima County. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform wildlife, natural resource, and cultural resource requirements.� Summary of Proposed Project: The Contractor shall provide control of small erosion control projects using temporary or permanent erosion control features (e.g., small rock features and erosion control wattle/blanket features); planting of seedlings and/or collection and planting of cuttings; mechanical treatment (e.g., cultipacking) to incorporate seed at areas previously aerially seeded; conduct resource specific monitoring and reporting; conduct projects designed to achieve specific resource management objectives (e.g., biological or natural resource surveys within project footprints that support other NEPA related actions); wildlife augmentation and trapping actions such as sage grouse and ravens; use of telemetry equipment for wildlife tracking; bat surveys (acoustic and trapping); archeological excavations and data recovery; archeological inventories; archeological evaluation and mitigation of adverse effects on eligible historic properties; traditional cultural property studies; phase IIa, IIb, and II investigations; and curation of artifacts. The Contractor is required to obtain Migratory Bird Treaty Act permits and capture permits for personnel executing the requirements of the contract. The Contractor shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience completing archeological investigations and evaluations in the Pacific Northwest.��� The proposed work to be performed under the following North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code: 541620 Environmental Consulting Services and 813312 Environment, Conservation, and Wildlife Organizations The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District (NWS) expects to utilize responses from this Sources Sought to determine the best procurement method for soliciting and awarding an anticipated contract.
