- SOLE SOURCE� Due to the circumstances described above, the USDA APHIS PPQ Ponce Work Unit needs to procure for our location at the Mercedita Airport, Predeparture area, Ponce Puerto Rico, the following baggage conveyors systems: Provide and install two (2) new conveyors, MODEL XOM for new X-ray machine: One primary conveyor of 7 ft, and a secondary conveyor of 5 ft. These conveyors are needed for the movement of passenger baggage from the X-ray machine exit conveyor belt to the exit shutter or to the secondary inspection area. These conveyors will have the exact width as the new x-ray machine exit conveyor. Currently we do not have reliable conveyors which one of them is obsolete and breakdown continuously, requiring the employees to manually move baggage. The pre-departure operations are the first line of agriculture protection to detect restricted/prohibited items that could be taken the U.S. Mainland. These two baggage conveyors are essential for the operations. Please keep quotes to nomore than 25 pages. NO LATE QUOTES ACCEPTED All vendors must be registered.in SAM.Gov.
