- Description
- The 20th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with Stolberger Inc. (DBA Wardwell Braiding Co.) for the procurement of the following item: B10-32H Carrier Harness Braider (one each) - Vertical axis operation, direct drive with AC motor. Magnetic switch mounted on guard cover for operator�s safety. For electrical wire harness application. Motor and controls to be wired per customer�s specifications. With motorized Capstan Take-up to control the braid coverage. This requirement is accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a Single Source. Wardwell Braiding Co. has been identified by Aircraft Item Managers and Special Project Officers as the sole authorized distributor of these assets and approved by the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) HQ Command Program. The Wardwell braiding machine is the standard braiding machine used across the Air Force in Aircraft E/E shops. Furthermore, Technical Order 1-1A-14 list the Wardwell machine specifically. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Questions regarding this notice must be submitted by Thursday 25 May at 2:00 PM EST to Contract Specialist SrA Motaz Irshid at motaz.irshid@us.af.mil and the contracting officer TSgt Jackson Woods at jackson.woods@us.af.mil . All inquiries received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The 20th Contracting Squadron will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information.
