Description
National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research Opportunities-Special Announcements. The FNLCR is a Government-Owned Contractor-Operated (GOCO) Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) located at Fort Detrick, Maryland. The FNLCR partners with university, government, and corporate scientists to speed the translation of laboratory research into new diagnostic tests and treatments for cancer and AIDS. FNLCR is a multi-program laboratory currently operated by Leidos Biomedical Research Inc. for the National Cancer Institute (NCI) under Prime Contract No. 75N91019D00024, which provides Operations and Technical Support (OTS) for the Frederick National Lab. We are seeking vendors who can provide support for the following: Description of Work - National Cancer Institutes Proteomic Data Commons (PDC) is the largest public repository of comprehensive tumor proteomic datasets. Its a cloud-based resource that collects, harmonizes, and hosts mass spectrometry-based proteomic data along with corresponding metadata across a variety of tumor types from programs including Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC), International Cancer Proteogenome Consortium (ICPC) and the Applied Proteogenomics Organizational Learning and Outcomes (APOLLO) network. The PDC data portal is open access and provides end users with appropriate compute capacity to support large-scale analytical capabilities. PDC also maps datasets, when available, to corresponding genomic and/or imaging data within the NCI Cancer Research Data Commons (CRDC). Objectives - The objectives of Proteomic Data Commons (PDC) are (1) to make cancer-related proteomic datasets easily accessible to the public, and (2) to facilitate direct multi-omics integration in support of precision medicine through interoperability with accompanying data resources (such as genomic and medical image datasets). The scope of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to operate, maintain and improve the existing Proteomic Data Commons (PDC). The PDC has been available to the scientific community for over 3 years. It is part of the CRDC data ecosystem and is expected to utilize all the relevant CRDC interoperability requirements such as Cancer Data Aggregator. Areas influenced by these requirements include system design, PDC data model, data sharing, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and communication activities. Since the PDC has already completed development and has been released in a production environment, the main activities will be continued operations of PDC along with necessary enhancements due to the new data types (such as metabolomics) and to improve data utilization and interoperability. Background Information: Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. (Leidos Biomed), a subsidiary of Leidos Corporation, a Delaware corporation with offices in Frederick, MD is the Operations and Technical Support (OTS) contractor for the National Cancer Institute at Frederick. The effort to be performed will be part of Leidos Biomeds Prime Contract 75N91019D00024 that has been issued by the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, Frederick, MD. Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. POC: Subcontracts Administrator Connor Cigrang at connor.cigrang@nih.gov
