Description
AMENDMENT 0002 5/16/2023 Answers bolded & underlined Air handler #3 evaporator coil cleaning-In the past this unit was not readilyavailableto stop and performsuch tasks like coil cleaning except for weekends. Is that the case?No the time and day will need to be coordinated with site but doesnt have to be weekend work. Fan terminalunits-All come from the factory with a 3-dayfilter. Will these be expected to be replaced? Only asking because when we replaced the FTU they all had plugged filters and facility personnelat the time didnt know they even had filters?Yes Verify Building humidifier operations; clean and drain as required and replace canister as required. -These functions are typicallynot used much due to the environmentin Florida. Based on our information this was disabled to avoid alarmsduring commissioning by triple D's. Will we be requested to enable this featureand test its function anyways? No. The humidifiers for the offices are not required. Verify operation of variable air volume boxes, where applicable. -For this task will it be required to forceboxes open and closedfrom the EMS system? Also, will visual inspection be desiredat each individualbox itself? Some vav'swill require scaffolding around employee workstations as well. from previous experienceswe have had to create a scheduleto do so for inspections.Using the EMS to verify operations is acceptable. Verify operation of duct heaters or fan terminal units. -This scope will require a smoke alarm to be in test and will produce a smell of burnt dust if tested. To check them individuallyit will require schedulingaroundemployee workstations and scaffolding in some areas to reach them as wellIf operation can be verified using EMS that is acceptable. Fire Alarm with scheduling can be placed in Test. Verify operation of cabinet unit heaters. -This scope will require smoke alarms to be in testmode and will produce a smell of burnt dust if tested as requested. Please clarify if this is what is being requested.Yes. Fire Alarm with scheduling can be placed in Test.
