- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to procure Brand Name or Equal to �P/N: SB9140.425,� 40FT Intermodal Warehouse Systems. �This is not a Request for Proposal for Quote, or Invitation for Bid. DLA Troop Support is seeking to identify possible sources that can manufacture the items listed below. Drawings are not available. Interested contractors will be required to submit a complete technical data package, which will be forwarded to the Engineering Support Activity for review. This notice serves to survey the market to ascertain whether-or-not sources are capable of providing the requested supply. This notice allows potential contractors/vendors to submit a non-binding statement of interest and documentation demonstrating their capability. Responses to this notice, will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this notice, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this notice are not considered adequate responses to any corresponding solicitation announcement. All interested offerors are requested to respond to this notice but are required to respond to the official solicitation announcement in order to be awarded the contract. This item is Part Number: SB9140.425, Intermodal Warehouse System (IWS) 425. The Sea Box Intermodal Warehouse System� (IWS�) is a steel, cargo- carrying platform that securely slides into ISO containers at the shipping point and provides a field warehousing system when unloaded at the destination.� Standard Product Features: � An inter-connectable, all-steel, cargo-carrying platform and intermodal warehousing system � IWS can be slid in and out of standard ISO shipping containers, or transported on a flatbed truck or trailers � IWS can be stacked loaded two high for transportation,� potentially doubling shipping capacity � IWS can be stacked unloaded 4 high inside a 40� ISO Container � IWS can be stacked up to 4-high for warehousing or nested up to 15-high when not in use � IWS reduce quarantine risk as laden platforms are containerized and secure, removing the need to shrink wrap cargo � IWS provide a platform to facilitate ergonomic loading of operational Stores/Field Installation Work Packages (FIWP) � Slider pads can carry more weight but won�t damage container flooring � (1) set of side laden fork pockets � (1) set of rear end fork pockets � (2) Shoring bar locking mechanism, one at each rear side corner � 1� Thick heavy duty side rail tie down bars � (2) Corner post stoppers at front end, one at each front side corner � (2) Vertical rollers, two at each front side corner � (6) Corner fittings on curbside top rail, plus (6) on� curbside bottom rail � (6) Corner fittings on roadside top rail, plus (6) on roadside bottom rail � (24) Total corner fittings � Deck surface designed to carry (2) 20� IWS end to end or (1) 20� IWS centered
