- This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR 5.203 in response to the mandatory requirment for a 15-day notification. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Government's intent to contract a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract with Johnson Controls Security Solutions LLC for the purpose of��Inspection, Testing, Maintenance and Monitoring of Fire Alarm Systems.�The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the inspections, testing, maintenance and monitoring of the fire alarm systems in the Student Training Facilities (STF), Camp Dawson, Kingwood, WV. The contractor shall perform in accordance with codes and standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70, 72 and 101.�This system is approximately 30 years old. �Which makes it an obsolete so that it only uses proprietary devices provided by current vendor: �Johnson Controls Security solutions LLC. As this system is not compatible with any other device; it would require a complete and total upgrade to each building in order to replace all current equipment and capability.� Base Year: 29 Sep 2023 to 28 Sep 2024������������ Option Years 1: 29 Sep 2024 to 28 Sep 2025 Option Years 2: 29 Sep 2025 to 28 Sep 2026 Option Years 3: 29 Sep 2026 to 28 Sep 2027 Option Years 4: 29 Sep 2027 to 28 Sep 2028 The Government intends to request a quote solely with Johnson Controls Security Solutions LLC per FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), as no other source of service/supplies will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisiton based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations.
