- This is a notice of intent to sole source. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)1600 Clifton Road NE, Atlanta Georiga 30341�intends to sole source; in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has the intent to award a sole source firm fixed price service contract to Illumina Inc. 5200 Illumina Way San Diego, Caifornia 92122-4616. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334516 . The purpose of this procurement is to purchase a�reagents are library preparation kits, sample barcoding kits, and MiSeq instrument sequencing kits, which are required for conducting the NGS HIV drug resistance genotyping (HIVDR) testing procedures at the International Laboratory Branch, HIV Drug Resistance and Molecular Surveillance Team. Conducting the HIVDR genotyping test is our core lab activities in supporting the global HIV drug resistance surveillance in Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) supported countries. While using these specific reagents from illumina in testing services is required and mandatory to achieve the quality standard in accordance with the accreditation requirements of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP) which both have accredited the International Laboratory Branch. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within�three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any responses or capabilites �should be emailed to the contract specialist Jasmine Register at nee5@cdc.gov by 12PM�on the due date listed.
