Description

This is a notice and not a request for proposals. As such, vendors are not to�send capability statements or other such documents. The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS) is�seeking to modernize one (1) geared traction freight�elevator. The contractor shall provide new: AC motor, solid state�microprocessor controls, cab, doors, door operators and all associated work�to provide one (1) complete new freight elevator. This elevator modernization project shall meet or exceed the current ASMEA17.1�Elevator Code and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards for this�project located at the Hipolito Garcia Federal Building, San Antonio, Texas. Note: The Hipolito Garcia Federal Building has a total of six (6) floors, although this freight elevator is only for the basement and 1st floor. This elevator modernization project is a small business set-aside. The small business firm must be an elevator contractor firm under NAICS code is�238290 and the current small business size standard is $22.0 Million; and,�the elevator contractor firm (prime) must be able to perform 90% of the�work for this project. It is anticipated that this project will take�approximately 550 days to complete. Award of any resulting procurement will be based on a source selection�employing a �Best Value Concept� methodology.
