Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24220B0063, Project Number 632-353 Renovate and Expand Emergency Department, at Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768-2200. This shall be a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB)Set-Aside. As a result, all VOSB may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220 and has a size standard of $36.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is More than $10,000,000. Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: This Project will renovate and expand the Emergency department in Building No. 200 at the Northport VA Medical Center, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768. The Contractor shall furnish labor and materials and perform work for expansion and renovation of existing space located at the first floor of the main hospital building as required by the drawings and specifications. Work includes demolition, general construction, alterations, sitework, equipment, mechanical, plumbing and electrical work; phased alterations to existing Emergency Department access road, parking and walkways; new walkway canopy, grading, drainage, installation of new underground fuel tank and landscaping; phased abatement of hazardous materials at existing building spaces to be demolished or renovated; phased demolition of existing ambulance garage, lounge and E.R. vestibule structures; phased demolition of existing interior spaces to be renovated; phased construction of new E.R. extension and emergency generator room and interior build out at extension and renovated spaces; new elevator and pneumatic tube system and related work. Electrical Work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required electrical construction work on this project including phased removals of existing equipment and devices as indicated on the drawings; phased installation of new interior and site power and lighting; emergency generator, distribution boards and panels; fire alarm system, security system, nurse call system; new work at existing basement switchgear and generator room; electrical work required for new elevator, mechanical equipment and devices. Mechanical Work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required mechanical construction work on this project including phased removals of existing mechanical and plumbing systems, piping, fixtures and devices at the basement and first floor, as indicated on the drawings; phased installation of new air handling units at the basement and roof with associated ductwork and devices and controls; plumbing work including medical gas and vacuum systems; air curtain and radiant heating as indicated on the drawings. All certain other items as required by the drawings and specifications. Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize to short duration and shall be expected to plan work typically during duty hours of 8 AM to 4:30 PM eastern time except as noted in the general requirements and as approved by the CO. Maintain all access to and egress from the buildings at all times for facility s fire protection requirements and to meet the requirements of regulatory codes, laws, etc. Project Completion: The contract completion time is 795 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on https://beta.sam.gov/. The solicitation will be released on or about December 30, 2020. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be in hardcopies. Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov , www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet)and be registered and verified as a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB)in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
