Presolicitation Notice Presolicitation Notice Page 1 of 3 Presolicitation Notice *=Required Field Presolicitation Notice Page 1 of 3 523A4-22-011 VISN1 RCx Repairs WR Boston VA Medical Center, West Roxbury Procurement Number: 36C24123B0008 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for bids will be posted on or about June 16, 2023. The Boston VA Medical Center, West Roxbury has a requirement for a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract. This project will implement recommendations identified by previously completed retro-commissioning (RCx) activities as included as individual item repairs from a RCx Master Issues Log (MIL). This project will include equipment repairs, equipment replacement, and upgrading and/or optimizing Trane controls. All work will be done at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. In general, work shall include all labor, material, equipment, and supervision to perform the required mechanical, electrical, and programmatic work. All employees of general contractor and subcontractors shall comply with VA security management program and obtain permission of the VA police, be identified by project and employer, and restricted from unauthorized access. The Period of Performance for this project is 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The goal of this work is to make corrections to existing equipment and systems to improve energy efficiency. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 and the size standard is $19 Million. The solicitation is being issued as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under FAR Part 14. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
