Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice. There will not be a solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. This synopsis is a market research tool being utilized for information to be used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The information received will be used within Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington, PWD Indian Head in conjunction with the procurement process. Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington, PWD Indian Head is seeking sources with current relevant qualifications, experience, personnel and capability to perform this proposed project. The proposed contract will be issued for a base period of 12 months with four 12-month options for a total term of 60 months. The general scope of work is as follows: Engine overhaul (exchange program) as needed � unlimited for warranted failures Planned Maintenance Visits Unscheduled Maintenance / field service call-outs Designated Service Manager InSite Platform and Connect Package parts repair or replacement Generator inspections, repair and maintenance Semi-annual and maintenance reports Condition assessment visit and equipment condition reports The covered equipment included in this scope is the Centaur 50 � 6201S Generator, S/N CG13971, PD 3R351, made by Solar Turbines, and located NSF Indian Head, MD This includes the following major components and subassemblies: Gas Turbine Engine (Gas Producer and Power Turbine) Gearboxes (Speed Decreasing and Accessory Drives) Generator Turbine Control System Start System Fuel System Lube Oil System Battery Charger Ventilation System Unit Fire and Gas System Vibration System Scope of service does not include air filter replacements, consumable/operating liquids, cooler assembly, replacement batteries, CO2 bottles and extinguishing media or any balance of plant equipment. All small business firms are encouraged to respond. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. All qualified firms are encouraged to respond. It is requested that interested sources submit a brief capabilities package (not to exceed 4 typewritten pages). This capabilities package shall address, at a minimum the following: (1) Examples of contracts worked within the last five years of similar size, scope and complexity as the work indicated on identical Solar or equal gas turbine generators. Indicated whether your firm and technicians worked as a prime or subcontractor, contract value, period of performance, brief description of how the referenced contract relates to the work described, and a Government/Customer point of contact for references. (2) Satisfactory response to short notice (24 hours or less) repair requirements. (3) Evidence of unimpeded access to critical manufacturer�s parts for repairs and overhauls. (4) Company profile, to include number of employees, annual receipts, office location(s), DUNS number, and CAGE Code. (5) Please indicate if you are a small business, 8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Woman Owned, and Veteran Owned. The capabilities package for this sources sought notice is not expected to be a proposal, but rather a short statement regarding the company�s ability to demonstrate existing, or developed, expertise and experience in relation to this project. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities package. The Government will evaluate each respondents capabilities statement to determine if the respondent has the requisite experience and past performance to complete the requirements described herein. You are encouraged to request a �read receipt�. Responses received after the deadline or without the required information will not be considered.
