Description

Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, GA intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract to APPLIED RIGAKU TECHNOLOGIES, INC. 9825 Spectrum Drive, Bldg 4, Suite 475, Austin, Texas, 78717. The requirement is to procure a non-personnel services contract to provide repair of Rigaku NEX-CG ED X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) instruments operated by the Forensic Exploitation Department (FXD). The contractor shall have all necessary parts, training, certification, licenses and/or permits required to adequately support repair and service. The service for two (2) FXD Rigaku NEX-CG ED XRF�s (serial numbers CG1498 and CG1500) includes off-site technical support for instrument failures, needed repairs, and covered warranted items. The service covers the cost of the materials/parts needed and the service engineer who performs the tasks. The NAICS code is 334516. The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 SC 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 1:00 p.m. on 02 June 2023 an award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
