- This is a Sources Sought notice only. This is not a request for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. The Government will not provide any reimbursement for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought notice. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interest parties must response to that solicitation announcement separately. Responses to this notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation The purpose of this announcement is to perform market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 541350, (Building Inspection Services) with a size standard 11.5 Million. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 1 (NCO 1) is seeking to identify any vendor capable of providing Independent Special Inspector Leeds Massachusetts VAMC per the Performance Work Statement below. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the requirement described below. Vendors are encouraged to submit information relative to their capabilities to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a statement that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. Information received from this Sources Sought shall be utilized to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 3:00 PM EST, 06-June-2023. Inspections and testing may be required on concrete, structural framing, exterior envelope, roofing, masonry, and fire-resistant materials, etc. Location of facility: 421 North Main Street Leeds, MA 01053-9764 PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide inspection services at the Central Western Massachusetts Edward P. Boland campus. This includes the following tasks: Provide field visits for the following testing and inspections below and submit testing and inspection reports to provide instances of noncompliance. Cast-In-Place Concrete Inspections Inspector to be ACI, ICC, or NICET technician Level III certification with 1 year experience Rebar inspection per approved shop drawings Break testing and/or slump testing per specifications and drawings Masonry Inspections Inspector to be ICC certified with one year experience Break testing and/or slump testing per specifications and drawings Metals Inspections Structural Steel Inspection - Inspector to be AWS certified with 1 year experience Welds, Bolted connection, cold form framing to be inspected per specifications and shop drawings Thermal and Moisture Protection inspections Firestopping Inspector to have passed the UL Firestop Exam with 1 year experience or passed the FM Firestop Exam with 1 year experience. All penetrations to be inspected to the approved UL systems and confirmed labeled by GC Spray Fireproofing and Intumescent Coatings Inspector to be ICC certified with 1 year experience or Fire inspector I certification VA to provide shop drawings with material depth requirements and locations Exterior Envelop Inspector shall be ABBA certified Qualitative and Quantitative testing requirements per specifications and manufactures requirements (pull test, leakage tests)
