Description

FY23 BUILDING 1025 SECTION-D RENOVATION, KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, BERNALILLO COUNTY, NEW MEXICO The proposed procurement is a total small disadvantaged business (SDB) set aside, and thus competition is limited to bidders identified as a small disadvantaged business under NAICS 236220, with a size standard of $45,000,000.00. The magnitude of construction for this project will be between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Offerors attention is directed to Section 00 21 00 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 15 June 2023, with bids due on or about 17 July 2023. Offerors are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process. THE PROJECT consists of the renovation of Building 1025 Section-D to support the Research Engineering Facility operated by the Department of the Air Force Capabilities Office-Field Support Unit at Kirtland Air Force Base. Due to new mission requirements, a 4,500 sq. ft. renovation is needed. Building 1025 shall be a secure facility that meets the requirements for ICS/ICD 705 criteria. The work includes demolition of existing interior, construction of a new laboratory and electronic equipment room, new electrical room, new mechanical room, ADA compliant access ramps, new exterior fencing relocation, and incidental related work. The existing facility height will not change, and no additional footprint will be a part of this scope or work. THE PROJECT will be advertised as an Invitation to Bid.� Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract.� Questions of a technical nature should be addressed to Mr. Michael Pace at: Michael.pace@usace.army.mil. It is therefore the contractors� responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
