Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a five (5) year, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract and orders issued thereunder to Micro Systems, Inc. (MSI), on a sole source basis for the assessment and repair of the AN/DSQ-50A Miss Distance Sensor. It is anticipated that the maximum ceiling will have approximately (75) units annually for Teardown Test and Evaluation (TT&E) and maximum (10) units annually for each L-Band Major repairs, L-Band Minor repairs, S-Band Major repairs, S-Band Minor repairs. Contract award is anticipated for the first quarter of fiscal year 2024 and the ordering period under the IDIQ is estimated to be completed in first quarter of fiscal year 2029. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S. 2304(C)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. MSI is the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the of the AN/DSQ-50A Miss Distance Sensor (P/N AY-17700). MSI is the only Contractor that possesses the engineering data; technical skills; and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, and operational characteristics of the AN/DSQ-50 Miss Distance Sensor (P/N AY-17700) to meet the Government�s requirements specified herein. This synopsis is published for information purposes. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. Responsible sources are encourages to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that may be used by the Government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within 15 days of publication of this notice. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for an information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis.
