Description

The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West - Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Non Competitive small business contract to�QUOTIENT BIODIAGNOSTICS, INC under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.804-2 for�Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital � Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services, Fort Polk, LA which� has an emergent need for Blood Bank Reagents and supplies for detection of unexpected red blood cells antibodies in blood samples.� Quotient Bio-Diagnostics is known distributor of FDA approved testing reagents used for the performing blood bank related testing such as Type and Screens, Crossmatches, Antibody IDs, Weak D testing etc. The Department of Pathology at BJACH has continually utilized reagents from Quotient and the reagents are currently validated to run with the system in place. If this contract is solicited to other vendors, the Department of Pathology will have to perform validations again to ensure quality and precision are within standards. The adjustment and facilitation will take time and will lead to a delay in patient care impacting the quality of patient care. �It is therefore prudent and beneficial to the government if we continue business with Quotient Bio-diagnostics. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325413 In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing, Size Standard 1,250. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes.
