NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Services: Maintenance of Sterilizers/Washers firm fixed price sole source base + 4 option years�contract THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS OR PROPOSALS. The Defense Health Agency Southeastern Markets Contracting Division (DHA SEM-CD) intends to award a firm fixed price sole source base + 4 option years�contract to Advanced Sterilization Products to service and maintain: service, repair, and maintenance of 11 ASP/Ethicon washers and sterilizers at MTF Portsmouth.� The Defense Health Agency Southeastern Markets Contracting Division intends to award a sole source contract for the Medical Treatment Facility, Portsmouth, VA. This proposed contract action is to procure a maintenance service agreement for Advanced Sterilization Products equipment located at the Portsmouth facility.� Classification Code: J065 NAICS: 811210 Government intends to award a BASE + 4 year firm fixed-price option contract to Advanced Sterilization Products, 33 Technology Dr, Irvine, CA 92618-2346. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii) sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source can provide the services required at the level of quality required because the services are unique or highly specialized. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit supporting evidence to be reviewed. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This evidence shall include a letter from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) stating vendor is an authorized distributor per clause 852.212-72(c). Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No cost to the government will arise as a result of contractor submissions of responses to this announcement or the government use of such information. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competitively sensitive information contained in their response. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated.
