Description
The Naval Air Systems Command, PMA-265 (Weapon Systems Integration Team) is soliciting information from industry to determine potential contractors who have the skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required to provide weapons integration services for the F/A-18 and EA-18G.� Support requirements include, but are not limited to, the following weapon, store, and aircraft analyses:�fit and mechanical function, flight loads, noise and vibration, strength, carrier suitability, ground loads, flying qualities, flutter, store separation and jettison, electrical loads, mass properties, and performance. Other efforts will include studies and analyses that will require the contractor to investigate future capabilities, provide analysis of alternatives, and deliver�documentation. The deliverables for these efforts will�include,�but are not limited�to:�engineering analysis, benches, hardware modifications, weapons replaceable assemblies, software models, wind tunnel models, Configuration Data Sets (CDS) for Universal Armament Interface (UAI) weapons, nonrecurring engineering change proposals, and studies. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining from The Boeing Company all aircraft data required for the support of this effort at no cost to the U.S. Navy. The Contractor shall have access, be able to gain access, or have equivalent Contractor facilities to Navy facilities to plan, execute, and report flight tests for weapons and stores being integrated onto all F/A-18 and EA-18G Type/Model/Series (T/M/S) for both Domestic and Foreign Military aircraft. Flight test requirements include, but are not limited to: Flutter Tests, Aircraft Flight Loads Tests, Noise & Vibration (N&V) Tests, Aircraft Flying Qualities (FQ) and Performance Tests, Store Separation and Jettison Tests, Aircraft Electrical Loads Tests in accordance with MIL-E-7016, Aircraft Ground Loads Tests, and Aircraft Wind Tunnel Tests. Contractor facilities shall also comply with all security requirements for Controlled Unclassified Information access and handling.�� THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), BUT RATHER A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) from industry that will allow the Government to identify interested sources capable of meeting the requirements as stated in this sources sought synopsis. This RFI is issued solely for market research, planning, and information purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contractual agreement, nor will the Government pay for information solicited hereunder. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties in support of the effort mentioned above. Vendors shall provide a capabilities statement of no more than 1 page in length that demonstrates the respondent�s ability to meet the requirements as specified herein.� The Government is interested in receiving vendors� commercial published price lists for items they believe meet the need in this RFI.� All data received in response to this RFI, marked or designated as corporate or proprietary, will be fully protected from release outside the Government. �Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future associated RFP that may be issued. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. �If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on The Official U.S. Government System for Award Management (SAM.gov) website: https://sam.gov. It is the potential offeror�s responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information. All responses, including capability statements, shall be submitted no later than 5:00 PM EST, 25 February 2022.
