Description

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime at Norfolk Naval Shipyard is issuing this Sources Sought as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for the below items. Philadelphia Gear (Cage Code 17454) is the OEM of the identified coupling assembly. To the best of the Government�s knowledge, Philadelphia Gear is the only known approved material source supply at this time. 0001 COUPLING ASSEMBLY SYSTEM DESCRIPTION Coupling Assembly, 1st Reduction L.P. The coupling assembly is used to transmit torque and horsepower from the low-pressure turbine to the propulsion frame to the main engine. QUANTITY 1 Delivery address is 1 Beaty Street, BLDG 276, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000.� The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing. This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is strictly for market research purposes. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposal(s) or quotation(s). The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the capability and availability of qualified businesses that are interested in and have the available resources to support the execution of this potential requirement.
