Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) single source award to L3Harris Applied Technologies, Inc. for the purchase of a PIXELRAY DISCOVER HC System. The GSL is the tri-service lead for Survivability and Protective Structures. The Survivability Engineering Branch-GSL conducts ballistic research in the GSL Fragment Simulation Facility. The ballistic research is primarily focused on the response of structural targets (such as concrete and steel) to impact and penetration. To further aid in the interpretation of experimental results, the Survivability Engineering Branch has recently acquired an L3Harris Flash X-ray system for use in ballistic experiments. Additional components of the L3Harris Flash X-ray system, the L3 Harris PIXELRAY DISCOVER HC System, are required for its operation and use. The award will be issued in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code is 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing) with a size standard of 600 employees.
